A City on a Bay

Gentleman, there are many ways to go about a city. One can walk (I do not recommend this as one must move fast to run from the masticating animals), ride a trolley (and get passed by a bike Friday; see previous comment about walking), ride a bus (ibid), ride a Bart (works from the airport, and there are Portuguese girls speaking real Portuguese on the Bart--cowardly, cowardly I did not bed them), run (getting there, but how are you really going to see the entire city, own the cabs, own the buses, own the trolleys, impress the skaters and cyclists, ogle umteen million hot women, and feel the shade and sun in such a short time frame and carry your camera in such a effective manner?).

One can do all of these things. Or one can mount one's velociped and own the fucking streets. They don't lower the mountains here. They raise them and dare the cyclist to climb. From the mountains to the sea, I find this easy.

"Conscientious application to menial desk jockey multitasks is what women’s brains are best at. Our society exists at a strange moment of economic limbo between two worlds — the past manufacturing based world and the future transhuman world — a limbo where paper pushing, legalistic gear grinding, government welfare administration, and service with a smile has infested like a toxic mold almost every tier of vertical and horizontal economic productivity. It is the kind of work, in substance and in psychological reward, that is soul-crushing to men but fulfilling to women. And it is the kind of work for which colleges, with their mile wide but inch deep liberal arts programs and their empty-headed women’s studies classes, are preparing with perfect precision their students for the female-majority workforce of the anticipated future." --some other fucker wrote this

  2. This 20-30 year cycle of debt super-expansion has done more to create equalities (male-to-female; rich-to-poor) than any sort of political legislation could have. Because of debt we send manufacturing abroad. Because of debt we become a society of knowledge workers. Because of debt the poor can consume as the rich do. But as this thing implodes, and deflation hits through debt destruction, industry and manufacturing will return to this country. Along with tough times for all those who spent instead of saved. Men will be needed cnce again. Men to lift heavy things, men to kill things, men to protect women from things, men, real fucking men. Men who by force of circumstance must take what they need.

  3. It is with great pleasure and joy that I read this, next to a woman in an equal state of joy, next to a dog expressing discomfort, with the coldest finest hoppiest liquid at this fine noontime during this spectacular summer vacation in this terrifying golden age on this futuristic computer that I read this commentary, rewarding myself for the past and setting myself up for the future. I find your inspired writing to be inspirational and I find this description of adventure (umpteen million) to be really a perfect way to follow up the incredible sex I just had. God speed young man. May SISU be with you.

  4. At 22 we picked up bikes and flew with them far away and acknowledged none of the dangers because we did not know of them. We were lucky, unknowing children then. A decade later we know the dangers and acknowledge them. Trips made now are the courageous ones.

Beat the fuck outta that highway north. Your training has made you of the hardest, finest steel.

  5. Wittgenstein would not meet the Vienna Circle proper, but only a few of its members, including Schlick, Carnap, and Waissman. Often, though, he refused to discuss philosophy, and would insist on giving the meetings over to reciting the poetry of Rabindranath Tagore with his chair turned to the wall.

I trust that the roads are winding as they do, and straight at times, and that the sun is at your back as you pedal fiercely north. For you have a destination that you must reach. I will monitor the weather conditions on the left coast and will wonder how it is to feel those conditions.
